gentrification sucks

gentrification-Junctionselling diversity on paper while homogenizing the built environment, social relationships, and relationships to land. I know private property as a violence and a discipline. coloniality: an exclusionary measure out of which homelessness becomes. but home persists where many are unable to perceive a home. and i would say this is diversity. that which cannot or refuses to.

living in a condo looks like stepping into line. like taking shelter in obeyance and then justifying that choice with cultural glazes and finishes. learn to sew your own curtains and then draw them closed.

i’m really tired of gentrification. grinding slow death behind poorly constructed facades that claim to be a place to live… get ready to live in the Junction is what they tell us.

woolly mess MAGshe says she can untangle this. it just takes patience.
